 MARLIN RIFLES
I'm looking to buy the wife a .243 and my buddy at a sport shop said the new marlin is a pretty good rifle. Its the xs7s model. which is stainless synthetic. I would put a 3x9x40 scope on it. Just wondering if anyone has a marlin and how they like them. I have always bought remington but for as little as she really hunts I dont want to forkl out a 1000 bucks for a rifle.

 Re: MARLIN RIFLES
I used to shoot their lever action rifles, they were very good rifles.

 Re: MARLIN RIFLES
i put my wife in an h&r handi rifle. its light, easy to use and very accurite. they are not very expensive but it works very well for her. also for such a light gun it has very litttle recoil. .243 with a bushnell lighted cross hair scope 3x9. shes killed several deer with it. i asked if she wanted to up grade. she said she likes her rifle and doesnt need another.
