I don't know how many East Texans are here, but I went to Palestine the other day and it's L-O-W. The paper said 1' down, but it's at least 3' - 4'. Didn't see any big ducks, but there were some teal flying around. Headed up to Lake Fork tomorrow to look around, the out Saturday for Youth Weekend.

Fork was ok, but got out there in one arm that I'm not going to mention and the wind got up. That was my first mudmoter experience on 2 1/2' wave action.

Trust me, opening day on Lake Fork there were 2 boatloads of hunters for every duck. Then on day 2.....1 boat! That ought to tell you how good the hunting was on opening day on Lake Fork.

We didn't have a ... bad opener ..... we just didn't have a good one !!!

Yeah, them fellas is way too bundled up to have been hunting here opening day. They would have had heatstroke.
