Hi KP,

How do I go about getting a replacement for the wire attached. In case the attachments didn't go through it's the red wire that has an orange wire going into that controls the boat starting while in neutral. Not sure what happened with it, but was just riding down the river and it just died and I noticed if I held the wire together I could start the boat and go.

Looks like the plastic piece broke and the glass tube inside isn't secure?

It seems like an easy fix if I can just get that whole wire where I see one in goes to the starter solenoid an the other just connects to that orange wire.

Also I noticed it was taking quite long to start up than usual. Could the wire be an issue or is the solenoid going bad?

The wire is not broken, the black thing is a fuse holder. The glass thing is a fuse. Your fuse fell apart. Pull the glass out, and pull the lil piece of metal left in the fuse holder out, then replace the fuse. Pretty easy...

can I get this fuse anywhere? like advanced auto parts or something?

Yeah, anywhere. wal-mart, auto store, radio shack... On the metal part there will be an amp rating. Probably 20 or 25a. Just get the same size, slap it in ther, and your back in business!

not tryin to be a smart ass but i think you need to get a manuel for your motor and read it . it will help you alot.

just sayin if you read a little you can learn alot. or just be dumb and let other people fix your problem. and kp probably didnt respond cause he thinks you jokin.

What page in the manual says anything about fuses or wiring? Because I couldn't find it.

Also what does knowledge of wires/fuses have anything to do with driving a fucking boat? Only thing I can think of is if I'm going to steal one.

I learn as I go dude. If something breaks and I can't figure it out I ask and rememberfor next time. If someone runs into the same problem I would help them, not "attempt" to make them look dumb.

Do you have that engine taken apart yet? Don't forget you need a metric crescent for the connecting rods

yall cut this guy some slack.... yea most of us know what a fuse is and how to replace it, along with other parts on our motors. but i dont know anyone that was born knowing this knowledge. we all had to start from somewhere before we learned what we know now. and most of you probably learned by asking questions

I am not trying to be a smart a** but my seven year old stepson knows what fuses are, tube or other wise. It is what we are showed and thought growing up, some of us are not as priveldged as others, but still use Google please in the future man that has helped me out alot, especially with these mud motor thingies.
