I don't have a dog in this fight, but if I am reading this thread correctly, EVT is no longer in business. IF EVT is no longer in business, there goes your warranty. The warranty is only as good as the company that is backing it up. That's just the way of the world. If it is a chapter 11, you are technically a creditor. Get in line, but rarely will you see anything.

I am sorry to see EVT go out of business, or any company that is trying to build an honest business. You can cry about it all you want, but that is just how things work. Your warranty is now worthless.

Brad, try lookin at it from dis point of view.
You buy a Pro Drive and the engine locks up. Well PD replaces da engine but Briggs & Stratton is da one covering da waranty. I PROMISE you dat if one day Briggs & Stratton decided they are not gonna honor der warranty for engines used in MM applications, dat NONE of da MM brands are goin to pick up da cost of replacin engines.
You see PD, MB, GT, and GD. They all depend on using a product manufatured by another company and have faith dat da outside company will back der warranties. Mike is in da same situation. He obviously had an agreement wit SW dat they would warranty der product, and they backed out of it.

I wholesale gasoline fo a livin' ... Major brands that we handle have to meet certain specks ... or thay don't release it. When thay do ... and we go and lift the product .... it becomes ours ... until we deliver into the retailers tanks .... then it becomes theirs. When the public put the purchace on it ..... you guessed it .... it becomes thiers !!!!! Everythang is fine ... until thay is a complaint ...... then all involved git thays Niki's on and RUNS !!!!!

BradS ~ EVT ain't done nothin' wrong on purpose .... I will give you mines personnel guarentee on that. Thay's just got caught up tryin' to create a good sound product that will enhance the style of engines we all run ..... and I'm typin' that it CanNot be done ~ period !!!! The feller I git to reweld on mines Hopkins, EVT, BriggsFactor built .... is probley the best fabercator in the USA hands-down ... and he says that thay ain't no-way no-body will ever put the build on one thay will last fo any extended period of time. It's the nature of the beast !!!!

I have never heard of a rep having to pay for tooling/jigs??? Guess ill start getting my reps to foot some of my bills for me!!

I just have one question...

Who has a copy of the warranty policy? I do not have an EVT exhaust so I would like to read the policy, particularly the part about who is responsible for repair/replace. If there is no written policy then none of you have anything to stand on.

Yes I am an EVT customer and a fairly happy one as Robert and Mike have both been helpful every step of the way on both motors, but do not take this post as taking sides as I like to stay a neutral party on MMT when it comes to vendor issues.

#1 never recieved any thing on paper #2 whouldn't waist my time going to court over this issue. it comes down to the Mans Word and the way he sold this product he can make up all the bullsh-t he wants and it may be true that he had a fallen out with S.W. (heath) but he has made a verbal contract with everone he sold this product to! this is not my first dealings with mike, like i said he's a SLIPPERY ONE he should give up his day job and run for office he would fit right in .it just goes to show that this matter and most people you deal with today say one thing and do another it's to bad but it seems that it has come down to one guy screwwing another and not standing behind the matter that he has started

After reading this post it sounds like evt had sw make mufflers for evt. In which sw offered a lifetime warranty on the mufflers. So evt in return offered lifetime warranty on the mufflers. So when someone comes in with a muffler that needs work who does evt send the muffler to fix since they are the ones who originaly offered the lifetime warranty (SW). Evt would take the muffler and send the muffler to sw to get fixed since they gave the muffler a lifetime warranty to evt. Now in stead of evt being the middle man evt is giving people the source to where the mufflers are going to be fixed in the first place.

SW built a muffler for evt gave that muffler a lifetime warranty to evt so in return evt gave the muffler a lifetime warranty. Now who is responsible for repaires SW since they are ones who originaly gave the lifetime warranty on the muffler.

Now if sw is not doing repairs or refuses to do repairs then evt should take sw to court for not holding up their part of the warranty. But evt is still responsible for there lifetime warranty they gave on the muffler. But I don't no what happened between evt and sw and the warranty sw had origianly put on the muffler. It sounds kind of like evt got shafted and is trying to make sw hold up their end of the bargain and sw is taking advantage of the fact that evt had also put a warranty on the muffler.

lets get back to the main point when (mike) EVT sold mufflers he never once stated that S.W. was giving the lifetime on this product now that there are problems with this product he's telling everyone that S.W. is at fault look back at his early statements (i'm not going to cover any of these problems) why not be up front, either man up or crawl into a hole

What is wrong with the mufflers???????? I'm just curious... Wondering if u had problems with the baffles or what. Trying to see if I have any other issues to look forward to.

Send all cracked and broken stainless mufflers to Bayou Gauche, LA for proper disposal! LOL! It sucks that people pay big bucks for these stainless mufflers and they don't last any longer than they do. I payed $500 for the OTHER brand to have it crack after about 5 hours. I didn't bother trying to see if there was a warranty or not. I didn't want to take the down time. I think its like brooks said, its the nature of the beast.

Wish my heart surgery came with a lifetime warranty. Maybe it did.

Do any of you need a bottle or need to be rocked to sleep at night? I got a few pasifiers that are unused, that ya'll are more than welcome too.

You can't tell me that none of you know a SS welder that could weld up a crack for you! Suck it up and now you know not to do business with the man if you are that upset about it. BUt hey shit happens and your stuff ain't getting fixed, just thought i'd be up front and call it like it is, now move the hell on with your life!
