 Low water in the basin
me and my ole lady and some friends took a 15ft flat with a 25 and a dog to go look around in fordoche sunday and i did not relise how low the water really is till then.........found some birds in a few spots i hunted last yr but was wondering if anyone else is havin low water problems.......also wondering if anyone else hunts this area

Yea -- there is no water in any of my holes --- Looks like im gonna have to go down around grand isle to hunt --- I heard they have lots of birds down there

Yup I hunt the Fordorche area a lot. Water is low, but I have seen it a lot lower. So low that I had to use the I-10 public launch instead of the westside P/L launch. That adds about 20min to the ride. I have been hunting that area for about 10years now. I have a couple of spots that nobody hunts. So I may not get my limit every time but I at least have some peace and quite.
