 Re: Best duck Decoys???
The GHG are definitely beautiful birds, I have all GHG pro's and lifesize, but the wigeon hens are losing paint after the first year. The coots are losing their grey, revealing all black plastic underneath (no real big deal on the coots).
Some of my scaup are losing the blue paint on the drake's bills after the first year, and my buddies GHG mallards are losing paint as well, after a couple of years. Keep in mind we don't use bags, the birds just get stacked in the boat, sitting on top of their weights and each other.
As far as magnums, that is a divided opinion. I think that birds will come to lifesize decoys the same, just as they come to their lifesize counterparts. I always thought that huge decoys looked fake. Many people are just the opposite, I will agree that magnums show up better from far away, you're going to have to call your own shot on that one.

 Re: Best duck Decoys???
It don't matter what decoys you got or how much they cost, cause when you bring dat dumbass friend huntin and he shoots your decoys they are al equally ruined.
I've hunted over painted 2 liter coke bottles before. Da only thing to me dat makes a difference is weighted keels, they are easier to throw out. However I do have a sack of aqua keels for when you gotta carry dem a 1/2 mile through da swamp to get to dat hole where da birds are pilled up in.

 Re: Best duck Decoys???
I think if you are where the birds want to be, it doesn't matter what you have out there. I've got mixed decoys cheap ones and hand me downs.
Real birds make the best decoys.

 Re: Best duck Decoys???
I have a mix of ghg, flambeau, and just bought carry lites. The carry lites look the best but work the same as the flambeau to me. Not worth the 80 r 90 a dozen you pay for em. Also you can't forget a baby mojo in your spread the ducks fall out the sky when they see that shiat.

 Re: Best duck Decoys???
Sport plast made in italy. They are an inflatable but a heavy duty pvc materiel. I have had the same 24 mallard deeks for 15 years now and they are still holding their paint. Most lifelike decoy IMO. All they need is a slight breeze and they come to life.
