 Re: Long Tail Plans
Do you really need plans to build one of these motors? It a shaft and a u joint on a motor. There are some really simple designs that dont even have a pipe around the shaft, just to bearings on it.

 Re: Long Tail Plans
That is the engine I use as well. A harbor freight engine. They seem fine. The only thing is they do not allow for a thumb throttle. It is no big deal. I just reach back when I need to.

I am also looking for plans for a mud motor, i am building a Gator Boat co. Duck Hunter and need something to go on the back of it. I have never seen one of these boats or motors anywhere in Ontario. Any help would be great.

 Re: Long Tail Plans
I am starting a build right now for my Carsten Bluebill. I am trying to keep weight down so I ordered a 6.5hp Honda Clone from NR Racing. It has 18lbs springs, marine use torque cam, Honda tank, open element air filter, highflow exhaust and no Govenor. Its dyno'd at approx 11hp and weighs around 35lbs... Still getting prop and steel together for build I'll post up pic's when done...... We have used Mad Motor plans with tweaks and love'm....
