I am in the pre buy mode for a Yamaha 75/90 four stroke outboard with tiller. When you guys are out and about and around a Yamaha dealership or know a Yamaha dealer could you see what a motor would be out the door w/cash. I'm willing to drive to say some bucks.

Hey Randy - Check out iBoats.com. I've never gotten a motor from them, but I have ordered many props & parts in the past with good results. They list new and used motors and update them frequently. Maybe good for a baseline comparison if nothing else.

hey moose, maybe u could find a older motor, like a 70hp johnson or a 88/90 or 112/115 johnson/evinrude on a trashed boat and just add a tiller to it. throw away the boat after. mightr save u a couple g's .

i'm looking for 1 right now. u can find them for cheap and they last a long time.

I hesitate to mention this...there's a boat dealer here in Va that has killer prices on outboards. Some folks have really good luck, others have gotten screwed. As long as you can put your hands on what you are paying for and have it all in writing, you're good. Special orders = no.

Like I said, shady mofos but outstanding prices. They will not stand behind what they sell. But, they sell Yamaha, suzuki, E-tecs etc....

Mud I have emailed them and they responded within a few minutes. I have heard and seen on the 'net the same info you posted. Some love them and some hate them. They do have great prices. I have emailed a price request on a Etec 75 with tiller. I'm unsure of the tiller now. I'm thinking stick steering would be better for my operation.

I know where a 2006 70hp Yamaha 2 stroke with all controls and has less than 5 hours on it.....Still needs to be broke in.It was mine...I sold it to a brother in-law and he has never even put it in the water since he bought it.He is trying to get $6000 for boat,motor,and trailer.

I also have a 1986 Yamaha 115 never been in saltwater.Not wanting to give it away...But if someone is interested we can talk.

Both motors have Stainless props and oil injected.

H and H Marine in Crowley has 75 hp 4 stroke with tiller in crate no cables and rigging out the door for 6595 cash.This place has the best prices on Yamahas anywhere.Let me know if you need help,its only about 1-1.5 hrs from my house.

Randy, I checked at Boats Unlimited in BR. Their price is much more than what I've seen on here.

Burch did he happen to mention the price for the motor only. I am gonna skip the tiller and go with stick steering. Need price for motor only. If you did not hear the price on the motor only don't worry I will call them. Thanks!
