Someone just called me about Running Lights for a GD Boat. I stated to him that a Hardhat Light(SealBeam) would be better. He stated that he would laugh at me if I was to wear one. He has no clue. So, the Deal is...
at the LA MUD RUN, I will wear a SealBeam, and he will wear a Cowboy Hat.

I was watching a Mega Machine show last night and an engineer had a light dangling from his shoulder like a physician's stethoscope that seemed pretty industrial, heavy duty, and might be very practical for a duck hunter in a boat/blind, etc. Anyone know who might manufacture these.

I have a hardhat sealed beam...but my ears get cold when I wear it. Bought a Browning high intensity flashlight that uses those little stout lithium camera batteries. That thing puts out some serious light and it has a strobe setting that will blind you.

I like the idea of the hardhat light, but my boat will not go slow enough for it not to blow off of my head.

Seriously tho, they really do seem like a good idea, but I don't run my lights enough to use one.

Ratchet that mofo on camo! Mine only the falls off when I run into a tree and go flying to the front of the boat.

If your a duck hunter or go froggin how can u get by without having one of these lights? I made mine and saved a few pennies.

I dont know about the cool factor but if your using anything else you dont have a clue. I laugh every time I leave the launch and see the fools with all kinds of lights trying to shine and operate the boat at the same time. And you know they are thinking when I pass by, that dude with that HH light sure is cool. And he has a hands free light that actually works.

I especially like the idiots that don't even have any running light so they get their buddy to ride up on the bow hanging over the front and shinning a AA flash light looking for logs while running WFO.

the best thing i found was a remote controlled spotlight for the front of my boat. i ran the wires to my grab bar and dont have to wear that thing on my head. got it on sale at cabelas for bout 100 buks

My HH light gets the most use when I'm frogging. I do not have that much use for it while I am hunting. It is a very useful tool to have in a boat.

Someone please teach Uncle J normal math. He called to tell me everyone but me liked the HH light better. The pole shows a few people didn't like it. The pic of the queer is J opening morning duck season. To make it clear, just because someone likes the HH light does not constitute gayness, just talking about Uncle J. The lights on the front of my boat are ok for now.

Cool or not. They help light everything up. Much rather have that than running into some sunk'n logs or old, half torn up blinds.

Sealed Beam Head Light! Borrowed my step-dad's that he wasn't using. Just need to get a rachet strap for it. I don't like the way it adjusts.

I have front running lights too. I just point them to the banks just to give a little side light. But the Sealed Beam works the best for me. My front lights are cheap.

Cmiller73, would you say that a sealed beam head light is a good way to go? Or would you suggest that it is GAY?

They are cool. I like them so much I have 2 in my boat.

We shop with our white shrimp boots and a hard hat light on at wal mart in south LA. Just sayin
