 Re: Benelli or Browning Maxus
Just bought the maxus and its been a great gun so far. The weight distribution on the gun feels really good when you pull up to shoot. I also thought it was pretty cool when I unloaded on a group of birds and had three different size shells in the chamber. Im not saying you cant tell the difference but I couldnt tell my buddy which shot was the 3 1/2.

 Re: Benelli or Browning Maxus
I've shot the Benelli M2 for the past 3 seasons and I really like the gun, but it's not the gun I thought it would be.
I bought a browning last week (not the Maxus) because I like the feel and simplicity.
You can't go wrong with either gun. But for the price of each, you should have exactly what you want.
I hope this helps.

 Re: Benelli or Browning Maxus
If it's between those two shotguns, I would go with the Browning since I believe it's a gas gun and not inertia driven. I have a cousin that shoots the SBE 2 and I have an Xtrema 2 and the kick on the SBE is considerably more than mine even with the comfortech. I'm not recoil sensitive but in a shotgun, less recoil helps me stay on the birds better.
I did see my first Maxus in the range this week and I was impressed. It looks like a quality piece.

 Re: Benelli or Browning Maxus
Either are great. Let him hold/shoot both and see which he prefers as they are both rather expensive guns.
