 Bypassing fuel shutoff solenoid
Anybody ever done this? Reason is I don't wana get stuck in the marsh with a bad solenoid. (it's happened before!)

There was a thread on here a good while back sayin a certain sized bolt would work.Use the search function to find it.

Just got finished bypassing it. Had to grind down a wrench to slip in there and unscrew it. Just pulled the little stopper so it won't shut the fuel off. And put the solenoid back in.

godevil clips the plunger shaft off then unplugs the solenoid

i bought one in 2005 and saw a wire unplugged by the carb, i asked them about it and thats what Warren Coco himself told me. 25 hp LT

nope. he said that the idea was originally only for recoil engines so that they could be ran without a battery, and they had a few problems with the solenoid so they started cutting the shaft off the plunger on all of them.

I have an 08 27hp and the solenoid is still connected. It was thinking he was disconnecting them on another manufacturers engine.

I think someone mentioned brass pipe plug!! I think----I have been thinking of doin this mine's keeps gettin gummed up
