 Losing Power on GDSD 23...
OK guys, here's my problem. I have a 23hp GDSD that is two years old. I am running the single mikuni carb with the BPS crossover exhaust and a big blade prop. Everythign runs and works fine until I have been running for about 10-15 minutes or so and then it acts like it runs outta gas. But, I can immeadiately re-start it and go again for about 2-4 minutes and then repeat. What is a possible cause of this??? I have already replaced the spark plugs, fuel pump, shortened the fuel line from a 14' hose front mount tank to a 2.5' hose and rear mounted tank and new fuel filter. Motor starts up fine and sounds fine when running, it's just like it's getting starved for fuel?? Thanks
Dave

Do you have an aftermarket Rev box or mikuni on it, need to know more info about your engine to diagnose the problem.

Possible pinch line, or getting air maybe. Mine will fire up sometimes, and just not pull a vaccum on a cold day.

Sounds like a dirty carb. Pull it and clean it good. If it's got trash it will run fine on startup but will suck up trash in a jet after a few minutes. High oil level will result in overheating the engine.

Buddy had same problem, ran fine for the first 5 min and then after hott it would start messing up, clipped green wire on Rev. box and it ran awesome, thats why i ask if you have aftermarket rev box, just a solution
