 The ole belly shuffle
In the words of Toby Keith: I ain't as good as I once was But I'm as good once as I ever was. And now im freakin sore. Found a cut about 4 inches deep that ran to the geese. Glad to have a MM. Had to do the belly crawl about 80 yards but got within 30 feet and got to see the fear in their eyes. Then had to run around and collect all the goods which wore my a$$ out.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
I was probably 1/4 mile from yall trying to get my boat back to the water. Lol. I thought about making a sneak on them and said screw it. When yall started shooting and they got up I figured oh well somebody took care of them. Lol.
That's where them birds roosted last night. I was kinda surprised they stayed till that late in the morning.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
That was you? LOL Yeah the hardest part was they kept picking up in groups of 5 to 10 and flying over us. So everytime they picked up, we would freeze. 19 snows and blues, 1 canvasback, 2 greenwing, 1 gadwall, and a speck.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
I could hear 'em all morning. I was hoping a few would get up and give me a chance but they never did. I ended up with a canvasback, bluebill, greenwing and 3 gads. It's turning out to be a helluva year out there.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
No laws broke. They changed up our limits this year. 6 birds and no dumbass split for cans and pintails. I follow the law to a "T". Atleast I do when I'm posting on the net.
Didn't think that you might not be talking about me. Lol. You might want to read up on the Texas laws before throwing stuff out.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
I must be too old to know that stalking geese is no longer illegal. Not a big goose hunter but is stalking, creeping, permitted?

He is more worried about what yal are doing legal, then what he is doing. Yal had better be careful dguidry will be trying to get stalking banned everywhere.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
I have to agree with gigs on this one. I know alot more people who crawl on geese, than ones that decoy 'em. Definately legal. I've had a game warden watch us do it. Just be careful how many u get. U can quickly go over your limit. Lol.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
In La. I know it used to be illegal to creep geese, you could jump shoot all you wanted but if you belly crawled to get them you were creeping and it was a no-no. I know you can creep during the conservation season.

 Re: The ole belly shuffle
My understanding here in LA is that you can creep during the regular season, you just got to make dam sure you do not shoot over your 20 snow/blue goose per person daily limit. This includes all the cripples that fall out of the flock a mile away.
