 running faster at night you ever notice how much faster you SD's seem when you are going out or comeing back in the dark.
Every mud boat I have owned seemed faster in the dark. You look at the side of the bayou and it is zipping by ,on they way back in dragging ass.

Re: running faster at night Its all about perception.
Your eyes have 2 types of photoreceptors; rods and cones. Cones perceive bright light (colors) while rods detect your black and white. Have you ever wondered why when you turn off a flashlight it takes a while for you eyes to adjust to the darkness? That's because you are waiting for the break where you actually have more rods receiving info than cones.
That being said, at night you rely on your rods, which are way more sensitive to motion. Thus you perceive that you are travelling faster than you really are.
