Post Re: GTR shipping damage.
I'm thinking that most of you guy's that spent $7200 on a motor would feel the same way as DMD .$7200 is aloooooot of money for the average joe. If you say you wouldn't ,you are sadly misleading yourself. I would definately want my product to be received in perfect shape. It dosen't really matter if it's the manufacturer or the distributor,or even the Freight companies fault. But someone except DMD should accept all responsibilities for the repairs without any lost time. He should get only the best of customer service ,and not have to worry of future problems. Put yourself in his shoes and you would most likely feel the same. Some people may choose to express their thoughts on the matter in a different manner. But after day's of no response DMD chose to take it public on the WWW. Maybe that's the only way he could get results, but thats what he chose to do . I know what I beleive in dosen't really matter to most others, but as I see it most that are posting on this thread are childish and immature....

Well PoohBears ... I'm not shore that any of the partys involved in this falls under the classifications of "spade" ... altho I knows you was just puttin' use on an old ... I thank what thays call 'em is .. accrenem ... or sumthin' like that ...

Anyways ~ I have talked with all the Gator-Tail Gang at one time or another, I have talked with Kieth on the cellura phone a couple times (not related to this thread topic I mite add) and I have talked briefly with DMD on the cellura phone ......

None of these fellers wanted wrong ... it just turned into somthin' kind of .. fo lack of better terms .... Stoopid. I wurshed that it wouldn't have happened ... but it did ..... so now it's time to go and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and drop this thread like a bad habbit !!!!

While pooh bear makes a good point we still dont have all the story. Lets make it simple shall we, say you want a dozen eggs but dont feel like driving to the store. So you get the kid next door to run for you and tell him you will pay him 5 dollars, he says he will be careful ( like shipping companies ) but for an extra 2 bucks he will insure no broken eggs. So he leaves the store with a dozen eggs unbroken but by the time they get to you one is cracked. Who do you blame here? Yourself for not going to get them yourself? The grocery store for not packing them better? (SETX) The egg mfg. for not packing them better? (Gator Tail) At the end of the day it is all on the consumer and how much he or she wants to spend to be delivered a product or go pick it up themselves to make sure its what they want.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. In this particular situation, who care's who was at fault? It would have cost gt pennies to make a customer happy. Does customer satisfaction really mean that little down that way? I thought that was the reason none of yall like MB...

Someone explain to me why the plastic covers have to be trimmed and the holes drilled to fit your motor. Are all the new 35 GTRs not the same? Im confused.

This whole situation should have been handled differently by ALL 3 parties!!!! The CUSTOMER, DEALER, and MANUFACTURER! That's all I got to say about that!

This is where the phrase "the customer is always right" comes from. Is the customer always right? We all know the answer to that. In situations like this and speaking from experience, reality is the customers perception. In short it just simply does not matter who's at fault. The person who protects his brand image does what ever he/she has to do to make the customer feel that the situation has been made right.
