had 2 different boats hunting the the Wax Lake Delta in a pond about 300 yards long and had somebody pull up in between the 2 blinds that yall were hunting and set up? I had somebody do that to me this Friday and he had the nerve to let me get the duck in close with the calls, and as they made there final approach he would shoot at them. I sure hope its not any of you guys on MMT.

Yeah i'd have to say thats pretty irritataing but i just fire a couple shots and let them feel the heat.

If the pond is only 300 yards long and there's two blinds...I'm guessing they arent right on the banks. He almost had to be in shooting range. That dude woulda left with some steel shot in his boat...

Just do like i did the last time somebody done that to me...put in the xfull invector choke and watch their decs jump! They'll get the hint

yea they had the nerve to shoot at us first, then we let 9 shots ring at them and still no resolve in the issue I had some of our customers with us so I tried to be cival, but also tried to get him to give me his phone # so i could meet him where ever he wanted but i will be back in that pond this friday with no customers it will not be so nice this time.

similar situation happened to me this past weekend. 10min till shooting time father and son walk up about 50yds and are shooting the birds turning back in the decoy in our spread. needless to say our day wasn't to good. its really pitiful what some people will do

The thing that really ticks me off is that he did not walk in till about 8:30 am we had been hunting for 2 hours, we ended up with 20 ducks but it would have been a green head slaughter if he would not have been there.

this sounds oddly familiar as i often have the same trouble in the wax also. i often get to my blind/pond well before daylight/shooting time and setup leaving me with enough time to relax to have a beer or bloody mary in the boat with my hunting partner before shooting hours. and what do you know right at day light when the birds start pouring in some dumb a$$ rides in the same pond and starts setting up while the birds are flying thus causing them to flare off as they are coming into my spread.....when they finally get set up they are so close to me that when more birds are cupping in they either blow a damn come back call to flare them off b/c they dont know how to use a dayum call or shoot at em from 100 yds away with no chance at hitting them screwing up my whole hunt.....yes this is public hunting at its best. which i will not complain too bc i limit out pretty much every weekend except for 2 this whole season but i do have to work my a$$ off to get those limits b/c of dumb a$$es like these............just venting.

Well Jordy I like to get to the pond that i hunt right about day break so i can tell what way the wind is coming form exactly, the wind changes in the wax so often during a hunt early in the morning i dont like to be there set up before shooting time. If i ever have to find another pond because mine is taken and i run up on you in your pond I am trully sorry and appoligize ahead of time, i will get out of there just as fast as i came in. I have to hit the entrances to the small ponds pretty much on step with my big dual rig gator tail, if not i am screwed. I did that to somebody this weekend and felt very bad the whole hunt i made sunday.

i didnt see any duals....and not trying to call anybody out, just lettin off a little steam thats all. im not like some people and start a confrontation over it, i mean after all it is public hunting land, but there is a such thing as good hunting etiquitte and respect for other hunters if you know what i mean. i think the majority of what is going on with these type of things is new hunters or newer hunters that dont give a Shi+ about anyone else but themselves. when i go out hunting i make sure i am not in someone elses hole b/c i know how it feels and i hate that feeling.

I had them same geese come right over us.. But, by the time i seen them, i didnt even shoot. my brother said he thought they were pelicans.. LOL

We must be talkin bout 2 different flocks then bc I did see 4 or 5 flocks that mornn and like I said that is fricken rare out there.
