Strakes for the sides of the boat

 Strakes for the sides of the boat Howdy Men, I need some advise. I bought a new GD/SD 23 hp and put it on a Lowe 1448. I'am geeting about 21.7 mph and I have pods installed. Do you think side strakes to keep water under the boat would help the top end? Any info would be great!!

Re: Strakes for the sides of the boat Been there, save your time & money---you need a 16' boat. With more than two guys and a light load your screwed.
