 Re: TX numbers
yes your have to register it, and get a have a printed picture of the serial number is there is no official title.
if there's a title you just bring it up there. and they should fix you up.

 Re: TX numbers
I think if you pay cash for everything all you have to do is register the boat to get your numbers.

 Re: TX numbers
If it's a homemade/custom hull, you have to have it inspected by a GW. Call TPWD and ask.

 Re: TX numbers
Mine was never inspected, i just brought my paperwork with all the information on it and the cut me some tags, no GW in site. They don't have to inspect it, if all your paper work is filled out with a stamped hull the year and make you don't have to worry about nothing!

 Re: TX numbers
You will need to bring the boat to get inspected and purchase order of materials. The Game Warden will come out to the boat to inspect it and put a sticker on the back of the transom, Call ahead to make sure that a GW is there to do the inspection.

 Re: TX numbers
All i did was bring my paperwork up there showing the numbers stamped on the hull, who built it and what year it was, i didn't even bring the boat with me, i don't know why ya'll think it has to be inspected, the lady gave me everything i need right there at the window and i went home and put it on the boat. Never heard of any kind of inspection!
Not saying all is wrong though
