In terms of annual registration, does anybody know which is the #1 selling brand? I'm talking about slick bottom, true mud boats, not Tracker type boats.

Based on what I have read I would imagine the main players to be Gator Tail, Go Devil, Gator Trax, Pro Drive or Phowler? I would throw Excel in the mix but I would imagine that their non-mud boat sales would skew the numbers.

How about motors? Gator Tail, Mud Buddy, Go Devil or Pro Drive?

just about every where i go i see all gator tails and pro drives.....thats boat and motor combos along with motors and custom hulls. i would say GT and PD is dominating the MM game....my .02 w/no hard stats to back it up, just what i see.

In the old days it was Go-devil with the long tail that was the most popular...these days it's Gator Tail and Pro-Drive that are the 2 best and most dominant players.

I didn't intend for this to turn into a debate, and wasn't really wondering what the guys on swamp people were running. I would imagine they will be running whatever the highest bidder builds for them. I thought maybe somebody knew based on actual vessel registrations.

I would quess that 90% of the boats out there dont have the correct motor on the reg. I know half of the year mine is correct and the other half it is not.

It seems like there are a lot more Mudbuddies. There are a lot of poor folks in this world. Just sayin'.

It all depends on where you live and what dealers are around. Go devil had dealers all over the place and mud buddy was making long tails before the hypers so were also established. If all you have is a mud buddy dealer in your neck of the woods you will see alot more mud buddys and not alot of the others.

As far as the questions I don't know the answer.

My question is what difference does it make? If ya using that as your base for a decision on which one to buy, ya goin about makin decisions the wrong way. I don't give 2 chits who sells more than who, I just want to know who sells what I want. For me it was Mr Jason Wayne Romero. Which by the way might end up being the answer to your question come this time next year.

Well i think what yall think is thie best selling motor is the ones that yall see the most of. And that comes from availability. Maybe that is different down south because there are so many dealers. I wouldnt have bought a mud buddy if there was a GT or PD or GD next door just because they are easy to get. And now that there is a mud buddy dealer in West Monroe every one is going to have one. I know of 3 people that have one and he has been a dealer for about 3 months. Just my 2 cents.

Pretty sure a Go-Drive Gator Buddy would be the best seller. Those things are pretty awesome.

The last GT I sold had a VIN # G-19++
The last MB I sold had a VIN # 0199++
So according to that MB is up by at least 18,000
But I dont know if they both started at 00001, 00100, etc
and how many were sold before they started tagging them?

Down here I have yet to see my first Pro Drive or Gator Tail. All Mud Buddy or Go Devil in the places I've hunted.
