 Gatortail vs Beavertail Hey,
Wondering if anyone has and good information about the quality of Gatortail vs Beavertail. I know that GT has reverse and BT does not at this point. Are there any problems with beavertail motors? Is it a good motor ? I have been looking at the 35hp and wondering who has the better motor.

Re: Gatortail vs Beavertail GT has been around alot longer, and have probably done more testing along with more research and development than anyone else. Resulting is a superior motor.

Re: Gatortail vs Beavertail Man if yall talkin about long tail motors Beavertail has been around way longer that gator tail my friend my barber son use to sell beavertail motors ten years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not say that they are better but just sayin they have been around longer!!!!!

Re: Gatortail vs Beavertail Beavertail now makes a short tail mud motor closely resembling that of a gator tail. Go with a gator tail...the only beavertails I've ever seen were on a boat in front of cabelas.....and they been sitting there for months. Something tells me they aren't a hot item.

Re: Gatortail vs Beavertail sounds good..It looks like I will go with the GT SD, sounds like from talking to beavertail they are working on a mod that will bolt on and will make the motor go in reverse. He said it was an electric device byt would not tell me more. Comes out this fall.
