What would it be like if Cajuns had snow?
With global warming a fact of life, we could see a shift here in Louisiana to a snowy environment. Iwas wondering how Cajuns would adapt? Here are my thoughts. Add yours, too.
Snowmen would have boudin noses and sausage madalion eyes.
No more ice chests full of beer in the back seat. That's what the truck bed is for now. Empties on the right and full ones on the left.
Snowmobiles would have sponsons for stability to hunt out of as duck blinds.
White spray paint would become hard to find.
Chicken, sausage, and roux would be worth it's weight in gold.
We could stay at the camp for weeks and tell the wives we were snowed in.

Global warming is not a fact of life, douche. Quit sucking Al Gore's dick off and do some research for yourself.

dguidry, it's obvious that many of your posts are intended to ruffle feathers, which you do very well. But, why do you enjoy it so much? Seems like there would be much better things to do with your time.

It definitely sounds like you have mastered work place efficiency, which is definitely a skill I have yet to master. But why do you find intentionally stirring the pot to be entertaining? Seems that a person with your education would use the internet as a tool to gain knowledge instead of to incite conflict. The applications of the web can be so much more productive, you know?

Whistlingwings:
What is your definition of "stirring the pot"?

Re: What would it be like if Cajuns had snow?
My definition of "stirring the pot" in this case, would be to make remarks or post that cause conflict or negativity among members of this site. Now, stirring the pot can be both intentional and unintentional. An example of unintentionally stirring the pot would be a new member of MMT starting a thread titled "Pro-Drive vs. Gator-tail". However, it seems the controversial threads you have started were an attempt to stir the pot.
So, dguidry, if our definitions of "stirring the pot" coincide, would you now please explain why you enjoy intentionally "stirring the pot"? Thank you in advance.

No, it's okay, you're an attorney, very good at dodging direct questions. I've lost interest now.
Good point you make LA Mudder, I think I'll follow your advice.

Re: What would it be like if Cajuns had snow?
More heat = more evaporation = more condensation (clouds creating shade) = cooling effect ....... The earth can control the heat it absorbs, weather patterns are created by this heat. Cold would be a constant without the sun and the sun fluctuates its intensity effecting the earths atmospheric temperature.....The gasses in the atmosphere also vary as well as the amount of particulates wich can both absorb and reflect heat. With all those variables and non of them constant, how the hell can future climate shifts be predicted with any certainty. One volcano pushing sulpher into the upper atmosphere will reflect more heat than absorb causing a cooling. It is all about selling the idea and then collecting the money to "fix" it. They cant even predict a weeks worth of weather accurately what makes you think they could extend that out 20 - 30 years? If you are afraid of a mini ice age, send your money to me and I will run my huge diesel drinking suv 24/7 and if you want an endless summer with global warming you can also send me your money. Just think you could be saving the world.
