OK Lafayette folks. Whos the go to vet in town? I need to get Jezebel her 10 week shots and dont have a vet yet.

Acadiana Equine at Copper Crowne in Opelousas on 182. (yes they do work on dogs)
Bellvue Animal Clinic in Opelousas. (this is who i use for my dogs)
Carencro Vet Clinic on Gloria Switch (Dr. Corely who owns Acadiana Equine's wife is the small animal vet there)

I use Guillory at Pet Care. Next to Bobs Pub on Kaliste Saloom. Some may say his prices are a little higher but I tell you, he's damn good at what he does. He saved me $700 on an ACL surgery which didn't have to be done. I used him as a second opinion and he was right. I'm about to start heartworm treatment on my newest dog, 18 months old. I have researched treatment a bit and spoke to him for at least 1 1/2 hours after-hours on the matter. He's a stand up guy and isn't one just taking your dollar and sending you on the door.

BTW -- when a dog has an allergic reaction to the shots --- dont freak out when their face swells up --- just give em a 25 mg Benedryl and it will go down

I use Guillory and my parents do too. My mom was a vet tech and said she really likes the way he handles the animals and the owners. We have used him for 17 years and 5 dogs and I'll be damned if you can find someone better!
