 engine rpm i have a mb 45mag. my tach says it is idling at 1200 rpm's. is this right? cuz it really dont sound like its idling that high.

Re: engine rpm Thats right. If you tach was bad it would read either 1/2 or not at all is what I have seen.

Re: engine rpm but while im running it reads like 14,000. the motor is brand new

Re: engine rpm Well i can tell u that something is wrong somewhere i had a tach do that to but it said i was idelin at 2250!!!! and i switched the ground and the red wire to the other side of the motor and it startin workin right and then like 2 days later did the same thing so i changed tach and everything was fine after that!!! and if it's brand new it should be under warranty!!!
