Post Re: Pro Drive Vs. Go devil SD
I love it when people think a surface drive is just for the mud........they work great in flooded timber, especially with the pulse button on the prodrive. I can leave it in neutral and use the pulse to turn and advance through the timber without having to totally engage my prop when the route through the trees gets real skinny. The marsh I hunt in is shallow with lots o debris sub surface, mostly laid down cane and switch grass and the prodrive tears that sh!t up. Dont get me wrong, the prodrive can handle those mud flats, but not as well as mb unless you hit them wot then they are the same to me. Its getting started on that flat that is harder to do with the prodrive....Reverse works great in the mud....most of the time it will pull me outa the sh!t no problem, actually reverse works better getting the boat moving in the mud than forward. FPR and power trim is awesome and is what pushed me to the prodrive. I hunt and fish, playing in the mud is totally secondary for my rig. Figure out what your priorities are and weigh the options of all the companies. That way you get what you NEED. Dont let these cracker ass mud junkies tell you theirs is better or whatever, MUD is not the only reason to buy a motor unless thats all you run in. Sorry if anyone gets offended, but it is what it is, a shallow water outboard.

Terry, don't get too excited. If they're stupid enough to agree with you, they're too stupid to be a spokesperson for PD.

I'd rather have a mud motor and not need it as much, than to need one and not have it.
