Re: Uncle J 1848 SETX Edition
Thanks, Corey, Ryan, & SP. Oh, had my lil brother weld some wedges on & she runs flat & true now. Damn Owen, do ya really dislike everything about the boat, or ya just like to talk that much chit? When me & J bent the grab bar, we were plannin on it bein mounted on the side, but I mounted it on the cross brace instead. I'm plannin on cuttin it down, just aint got around to it yet. Jacob, I want to publicly thank you as well. You made it possible to get this thing thrown together as fast as it was. Way too often, the guys behind the scenes get forgotten. I appreciate all ya hard work & patience with my dumb azz. I got a cold Bud Light with ya name on it when ya get here.

Re: Uncle J 1848 SETX Edition
My last boat was also a round chine, but it was only a 1644, so it did sit a lil deep. (Just drifting in pic) IMG_2419.jpg But my Uncle J doesn't really draft much any at all. (At an idle in this one) 100MEDIA_IMAG0556.jpg

Re: Uncle J 1848 SETX Edition
I'm going to have an Uncle J built this summer and I am really liking your hull. I will get the huntdeck and GTR though. I like the handling aspects of the round chine. We do alot of high speed running down some winding tight trails, and I am not fond of sliding through the corners.
What is it about the Gator Tail Extreme bottom that allows it to handle so well?

Re: Uncle J 1848 SETX Edition
I like the looks of the round chine better. My buddies custom hull has a "stepped hull" similar to that of the GT Extreme.

Re: Uncle J 1848 SETX Edition
Couldn't have said it better myself, CB. I think it's funny how Take'em is criticized because of his severe case of "temporary dumbass" but Terry's case of terminal illiteracy is forgiven. As far as the "cheerleader" post I made, I try to not give advice or speak on things that I do not know. I've only seen up close 1 Extreme series hull, & can honestly say, I saw nothing special about it, but instead of talkin chit on it, I chose to not answer the man's question. Weblake, I'm runnin 33.5 with 2 ppl in choppy 3' water. Haven't had chance to run anymore since then.
