Didn't load the boat but caught 9 fish for about a 30 lb haul. The wind which was supposed to slack up later in the night only blew harder so fishing the river was out due to the 2-3' rollers. Fished an oxbow instead. I like a little drift on the jugs but not a race to the other side.

On friday I ran my gill nets and had one blue cat that would tip75+ lbs. There was a Cabelas King Kat tourney going on. There was a Cabelas boat nearby. I put the bigun back in the water and finished running the net. When done I had about a dozen skipjack and took them over to their boat and asked them if they wanted the bait. They said Yes and I gave the skips to them. There was the Infisherman guy in the boat with them. He asked me how much that cat weighed that I let go and I told him. They asked me where they should be fishing and I told them where I run my hoop nets and suggested there. Well at the weigh in I asked them how they did and they said O.K. but their team mates in the other boat went to where I told them and they got fourth place. He asked me if I would give them my tx number for for future events in my area. Today I caught two blues that would go 45+ in the same net. Our catfish are wide open right now.
