 Couple questions about the 16 Briggs hey guys i found a older 16 GDLT that im prolly gonna scoop up next week. my questions are what is the useful life on these things in hours. like whats the highest number yall heard of. he guy said hes taken good care of it and from the looks of it he definatly has, but he doesnt know how many hours are on it. also are there any exaust options for it or am i gonna be goin custom on a 16. thanks guys

Re: Couple questions about the 16 Briggs i have a 1986 gdlt with a 1992 (18yrs) 16hp briggs, i took it off a pressure washer years ago and i couldnt tell you the hours. as long as you keep regular oil/filter changes and clean air filter they can last for awhile. as for the exhaust godevil sold them for $90 last time i bought.

Re: Couple questions about the 16 Briggs It's a lawnmower engine. I've been running a 11 hp Honda on my lawnmower since 1988. It takes me almost an hour and a half to cut the yard so go figure. Got about 1800 hr on the mower at work and haven't had it in the shop for the engine yet.
