That aint no lie...Try buying enough rigs for a family of 5. In two trips the wife and one of my boys broke 4 arrows.

I don't want to think about how much I have tied up in it...
But...you are going to LOVE your new bow.
Next on your list should be a Honda EU2000/3000. Then Metal Halide Lighting.

I tried MH but prefer HPS light for the murky water around here. I heard in clear water the MH are the ticket. So you got you a nut cracker now huh DDM lol watch the jewels man,lol

The HPS does look to make the fish glow but WOW the MH looks great!

 Re: This shit is expensive!!
Ballast: $140 RAB 1500W Halogen fixture: $50 Bulbs: $10 Mogul Base: $10 Ballast Power Cord: $10
So $1,100 for the five lights or $220 per light give or take a few $$
BUT...The ballast are only 4.5 lbs a piece, each of my lights weigh only about 7 lbs total, a normal core/coil 400W MH ballast/fixture is going to weigh in around 30 lbs, so I'm saving 115 lbs on my light setup.

 Re: This shit is expensive!!
I thought you could only use "probe start" metal halides and not "pulse start" with a HPS ballast. Is that correct?

 Re: This shit is expensive!!
Its all upfront costs....
Glad to see that the stuff is pretty durable....
I wish I had a friend that had a rig like mine........... It would be faaaaaaaaaaaaar cheaper to pay gas money...
I broke a 45$ prop.... put on another one and broke it too...went home..took the deck off and got ready for duck season!
This summer should be good I have most of my "up front" costs completed.
Been shooting fish for 20 years.
The arrows are cheap...
Then again so was shooting them from a canoe...

I was watching a bowfishing tournament on VERSUS today. You should enter that $hit and get some airtime.
