 Re: South Padre Trip
Had to make a trip down for a funeral. My Great Uncle passed. He would of made 100 in a week. So the old man and I took the Slow drive down there and fished for the day.Winds were blowing out of the south at 25 to 30Mph and gust up to 40Mph. We picked up a few and had a good trip. I could not believe the ducks!

100's of thousands of ducks ... and most of them are redheads and pintails ... and we can only shoot 2 ... ?!?!?!
Fantastic water down here - Coastal? Did you hear anyone mention winter kill on the snook ... ? We've got a little theory that it was bad.

 Re: South Padre Trip
The redhead flocks are crazy down there. I think something like 80%of them winter in the laguna madre. Fishing is good but TX limits suck. We did catch some 29 & 30" trout there on the bay side on free lined ballyhoo at night.
