congrats glad you like them, i have/ had to play for work all the time, i finally came out of the "i f'n hate golf closet" yesterday!
its been really hard and i've lost some close friends and family over it but you know what thats who i am! i'd rather stab my self in the junk then play another hole......EVER.
that being said i will still drive the cart and get blasted and "interview" the cart girls.......

 Re: Golf
Only time I been on a course was when I went fishing with a friend who claimed his uncle owned part of it (he was full of shit). I used to think golf was boring as a kid when it was on tv, but being on the course checkin it all out, I could see how fun and relaxing it could be, not to mention lots of business gets done on the course. Would like to get into it, been saying that for the past few years. I'm pretty good at the Tiger Woods game on the computer I know I'd enjoy the real thing.

 Re: Golf
I tried golfin' one summer bout 15 years ago. At the end of that summer, I was frustrated, aggravated & irritated all rolled into one. My boat was sittin there collectin' dust, so I gave it up. Sold my clubs, shoes & all. I got buddies that love it. One even gave up huntin' to play year round. It ain't my game.
I tell people I gave it up for religious purposes. Cuz i lost my religion every time I played.

I shoot in the mid 70's - low 80's.
If it gets any hotter than that, I start to sweat and the club slips out of my hands. It gets kind of aggrivating.

The concept of chasing white balls around never did sit well with me. But hey, what ever floats your boat. Just don't sink mine.

 Re: Golf
Been playing for 26 years or since I was 6. Played high school golf and junior tour stuff until I started college. Had the chance to play in college but chose not to so I could pledge KA. Don't regret becoming a fraternity man but do regret not playing college golf. Still play about 75 rounds a year between March 1 and October 1 including about 10-12 tournaments. I can literally wear out the grooves on a set of Mizuno forged irons in about 2 seasons and a sand wedge in about 4 months. I have been through probably 50 dozen Titeliest Pro-v1 golf balls in the last 2 years at $50 per dozen. Have my own golf cart-----gas powered Club Car Precedent that is decked out with head lights, rain cover, cooler, ball washer, windshield, am/fm cd with Sirius sattelite radio and aftermarket wheels and tires that give it a little BLING! So yeah, I am addicted to golf. I quit fishing cause I enjoy golf more. The crazy thing is my wife loves it too even though she doesn't play. My 3 year old has his own set of clubs and loves to hit range balls with me after work. It is a great game that I don't see myself giving up until death.

 Re: Golf
I used to play a LOT. Actually played on a Nike scholarship in JuCo. I dont play nearly as much now. Back in my early 30's I used to compete in the ReMax Long Drive Association, and got out of district 3 of 3 years to state finals where I got my arse handed to me. Did get to play this course on March 23rd and 24th!!! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... e299858ce2Thats me in the gray pants/black shirt. Shot 88-84 from where the tournament is played from, not bad considering nerves and a bum left shoulder right now.

 Re: Golf
We used to sneak in da course at night and go fishin in da ponds until someone told me how much fertilizers & chemicals dey put on da grass... which ends up in da ponds.
I went played golf once...... I got kicked out for loadin' da golf cart down with turtles. Dey had turtles EVERYWHERE! Dey was comin out da ponds to lay der eggs and I would drop da clubs and tear out across da purdy grass to catch 'em. I had me a freakin PILE of turtles before dey made me leave....... dat was my only golf experience. Got no more use for golf courses..... u can't eat dem lil' white balls.
