 Anyone running the Grand
Anyone running or has a dog in the Grand next month in Mississippi? My buddy is running my mutt and I should be out there a few days watching the festivities. Hopefully he will be around for at least a few series.

Cool. Was wondering if I was the only one with a dog running. Good luck to Homer.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
You have plenty of time if you are just getting started running. Thanks. He will need it. If he can keep his back side on the ground he should do fine.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
Y'all come by Lakeway Archery if you're running the Grand this weekend. We have a place to air your dogs, or you can just come in and hang out with us and look around. You can't miss us on your way to the lake.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
Cruiser is B168. Clean thru the first round, foreheaded his marks and 4 whistled the blind. I should be that way on Monday Duramax. I will try to stop by if I get the chance. Depends how he does tomorrow. Good luck to Homer bigdtex.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
Heading to the third here as well. Had a cast refusal on the blind. Went back when asked to angle, but that was his first blip on the card. Heading out in the morning to go watch the rest.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
I should be there. My name is Chase if you come in and need some help. And yea, it has been pretty windy in the Grenada Lake area here lately. I'm just glad the sun came on out Saturday and Sunday! It was a lot of dogs there this weekend!

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
On to the 4th series in the morning. Did not do anything today, they were running behind on the water series by two flights. He is clean going into the last series. Barring anything crazy he should run upland in the afternoon and hopefully get a big a$$ ribbon.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
Thanks Jason. I was nerve racking for sure. I hope they took some yesterday. If not I will get one when I get him back in a few days. On the 4th series they stopped Cruiser while running his blind due to the sun being in his face, and had them come back after an hour and a half to run the blind and honor. He still didnt see Kelly on the handle so he just gave a big verbal over and he took it. Thanks to the judges for realizing that and making it fair to all the competitors. They could have said it was a cast refusal and sent them packing. That test was way behind on time as it was.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
Nothing special in his pedigree. Dad was a HRCH out of an FC to a Gator Point bitch, and mom was a kennel bitch with a little bit of a pedigree. There are a few FC's further back with some old field trial blood. Candlewoods MD Houston on top and bottom side.

 Re: Anyone running the Grand
Don't sell him too short. Cruisers dad was a freak of a lab (120 lbs skinny) who was as good as he was massive. Cody could've been anything from a Grand Champ. to a FC. He probably picked up 1000's of ducks as he was a guide dog for a while. He ran one field trial in open and placed, and ran one HRC Grand and made it to the 4th series with a terrible ear infection. Not to mension could pin a pit bull with one swipe. Judges and handlers actually backed up when he came to the line. My personal dog is 95lbs and he looked like a migit next to Cody. He was a man amongst labs in every way...THATS Cruisers sire.
