 Flathead Caught this one on the Alabama river last weekend going after them agian Thursday night.This one was 34#

Re: Flathead Being someone who mainly fishes saltwater, do the catfish that size contain worms? I know when large drums get that big they develop worms. Just curious if they are still good to eat at that large size...

Flathead Yeah flat heads are the only fish I know of that get better when they get bigger.
And for the bigger saltwater fish having worms, I've heard that all my life and I think it BS. I've caught 35# drum and reds with not a single worm. And I have caught barely legal drum, reds, and specs that were so full of worms that I don't even keep the meat. I'm not sure what causes certain fish to have worms but I don't think it's a size thing.
