 gtr 35 speed problem
I have a question about a GTR 35 on a 1752 alweld boat. I just got it repaired because the diodes went out in it so it runs great but i used to go alot faster over open water. I was fishing yesterday with three people in the boat and a full load of gear doing 26 mph across the shallow water but went i went deep i could not get above 18 mph. Does anyone know why it would not go faster than that over open water or is there a way to fix that. it used to do alot faster.

Is your hull in great condition on the bottom?

 Re: gtr 35 speed problem
The throttle cable seems to be ok but how do i check that? My prop is a little chewed up from sand but it doesnt look that bad? with just me in the boat it will do near 30 mph. I guess the problem is in open water with a load it wont get up on plane.

 Re: gtr 35 speed problem
I have the same problems and I am running a 1752 gt extreme and I had three people in the boat with a fishing load and it would only run 18mph. The motor would only turn around 3400 rpm's and usually it runs around 3800 rpm's.

 Re: gtr 35 speed problem
Pull the throttle cable at the screw until you have a 1/8 of play at the handle while running
