 Re: Question about my rig?
if thats your rig.. thats a 36 HP motor.. unles u put the 36 air filter on a 32 motor..
thats also a short boat.. i had a 32, and noticed a helluva difference when i went to a longer boat. from 16-18, but u also have a wider boat, and man, those are tall sides.. maybe sum more ppl will chime, but that sounds like a pretty solid heavy boat...

 Re: Question about my rig?
I believe the newer 32s have the flat air filter Justin. Surely he knows what he got. Probably about right, especially with that blind on it and the weight. RPMs sound good. Mudhole has that same rig and can run about 27-28 empty. Well at least 27.5 anyway.

 Re: Question about my rig?
This is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth.
With a 32hp and that short boat with blind and everything you have listed, 4000+ rpm actually sounds a little high. Like maybe you have it trimmed up to far.
Just something to think about.

 Re: Question about my rig?
I have never replaced the prop. Do you think that is what I need with only 70hrs on the motor? The blind is off now. I played with the trim looking at the gps and with just under half the prop out of the water thats were I was getting the best speeds. I usualy run at 3700-3780 rpm just wanted to see what I could get out of the thing. Thanks for the input maybe just a newbe being paranoid.

 Re: Question about my rig?
You could wear out a prop in a couple hours depending on what you run it in, like sand. I would think you want to run your motor trimmed out for best speed unless tiller torque is bad. But that's just me.

 Re: Question about my rig?
If the prop is worn you should notice a loss in hole shot. Does it take longer to plane it out?

 Re: Question about my rig?
I think the whole shot is good. I really have no idea. This is my first mud boat so I really dont have any idea. I rarely take it in skinny water, mostly in open water. Where should I start looking for a new prop, or do I just go with a stock prop from prodrive?

 Re: Question about my rig?
Put a tape to your prop. Check the distance tip to tip.

 Re: Question about my rig?
Gauge, I work right up the road from Cyfair.. up on 290 inside the loop. For me, the prop has been the single biggest killer in performance, along with the other factors like hull size and weight. Once the tip of the prop is worn down, speed and hole shot go out the window. 23-25 is ballpark speeds. You can lighten the load and get more but thats a good working speed. My 1854 loaded w/ stock 36 runs that speed as well. If I empty it out, new prop, skinny water I can get 27-28. Like somebody mentioned, get a ruler and measure tip to tip and let us know.

 Re: Question about my rig?
What should the length be from tip to tip? Mine is 11 and 7/8.

 Re: Question about my rig?
thanks for all of the input. My prop when I took a tape to it is right at 12' 1/4 inch, From the pic it looks alot like the new prop that is shown. The edges do not seem to worn very much. when you guys take a ride if you dont mine give me a call Maybe I can fine out the ins and outs work on the boat. If you are working on your own boat I would like to watch sometime

 Re: Question about my rig?
My buddy had a similar problem. He had a brand new prop and everything else seemed fine but just wasn't getting the speeds we thought he should. The problem ended up being that the trim tab on the back of the hull was bent down too much. It was bent back up and his speeds went up to where they should be. I would think that your boat would run flat even without weight in the front if this was your problem.
