Nothing like wanting to spend the evening rigging out your new boat, but getting called out to work instead. The money is nice, but I'd much rather be working on the boat.

I wish. I'm only a volunteer firefighter, so no hanging out at the station. I'm an operator at a chemical plant, and they wouldn't let me bring it in here. Plus I'm sitting out at our wharf unloading a barge. No place for it out here. Hopefully I get some rest tonight so I can fool with it before I get to come back tomorrow night.

I wouldn't be as aggravated if someone called in and they called me out. We are short staffed and can't keep up with the work and these asshats around won't hire more people. They would rather call out the standby person every hitch.

I feel your pain,we had mofo's droppin like flies this past weekend so I had to work 18 hr days all weekend. My plant just hired 14 guys and are hiring another 12 in a couple weeks and another group in August.

I love the OT but last year burned me out,I worked almost everyday for the whole year and got a break for duck season then had to commision a new unit that took 2 months of straight days. OT sucks when you are forced.

I feel your pain. Worked 90 hours a week the last 6 weeks and looks like I have at least 2 more weeks before any time off.
