Just moved from S Fl to the sweetest city in La, Jeanerette. Originally from the Md,Va W Va region (my family tree does fork BTW, small forks but still a fork) , also lived in the northern backwoods of Mich. I enjoy the taste of squirrel, true happiness is a large gutpile steamin in the mornin and beer is a better breakfest beverage then orange juice. Been here almost 2 months now and really lovin it. I run a piss poor home made 5 hp longtail on a borrowed 12 foot flat bottom and enjoy it more then some of the other boats I have had in the past. I will do my best to find answers to my questions via the search function but don't flame me too bad if I post a DUH post, and iffn ya do ya'll can KMA

I was just repeatin the town motto due to all the sugar cane industry here. The downtown part itself isn't exactly my sort of place, but the house and property we bought more then made up for that. I haven't made the trip yet but they tell me I can be at cypermort point in under a half hour from my back yard.

took the little putt putt down to the 4 bayous (think thats what its called) tonight from the back yard. Took us awhile at just a hair over idle, but I wasn't tryin to set the world on fire lol This home made longtail I just bought has a damn plastic prop on it, so i am extra careful near the timber. First upgrade will be a metal prop to go in it's place.

I put in the cooley in my back yard, my property is very well hidden and off the main roads. I'm outside of Jeanerette towards Lydia on those gravel roads. Might take my 30/30 with me tomorrow, had a big ole hog jump into the canal and swim to the other side about 50 yards from my property.
