Insurance on camp?

Not to jack a thread but how do you get insurance on a camp. We are fixing to frame our new one and its gonna be big.

I'd say thats a little high

Aintry....no insurance....we just pressure wash eveythiong and leave the doors open for a few weeks and it dries out....happens every two years or so. Dang snakes just keep gettin worse and worse or else we are just getting better at spottin them since Junebug got killed.

See if you can get some kind of secondary through your home owners ins.

to hell with insurance. we are gonna knock it down someday and build on the hill with concrete and metal.

I dont know how nice yalls camps are, but the insurance would be as much as a poor boy's camp.

The one we're buidling is 800 sq ft. on 8 ft. posts on the COAST. So yeah we need insurance. LOL Finally got all 25 posts cemented 4 ft. in the ground. Got my PHD. Post hole degree.

floods are a part of life when you live at the bottom.... we are 80 miles upstream from Cairo but ten feet lower. go figure.

Well , we was up in the Basin one day a couple years ago...not ya'lls Basin but our Basin. Anyhoe we ws down there and we kept on seeing the cottonmouths everywhere. I don't like snakes too much but Junebug goes to one of them churches in the hills and he snaps to like a bolt of lightinin hit him. He says," by gawd BM I know what the looord wants me ta do" and I says,"whats that Junie?....quit drinkin shine and smokin that dope?". He says ,"naw BM...it's bigger than that."


" The Lawd woants me ta gather up a bunch of these here snakeses so his people will be able to worsip him the right way.", He says before takin another slug of the wild turkey that we keep in the boat foremegency purposes. " Gawddabbit Junie, " , I say," the lord don't give a flippity high etty about no gawdam nasty ole snakes"

With that Junebug jumps right out of the boat and goes to floppin around in the swamp grabbin them things outta every bush and branch he can reach and puttin them in the grass sack. He then sends a textual message to one of them far out reverends from one of those churches ..( he had greed in his eyes when he was a punchin the letters) and tells me ,"ole brother so and so is gonna meet us up at the ramp with two hundred and fiffy dollars.....we gonna get high dee high"

I tell him that even though I don't beleive in none of that that it's bad business to make a robbers den outta the tample and he better watch his step . And low and behold when we pull up to the ramp and that ole slick white shoe wearin,side-burn sportin greasy-azz preacher waves at us Junebug reaches in that big old squirming grass sack and,"whoieeeee hawwwww GGGGGAWDDANGITTT they bit my everlovin hand....summbich it hurts BM get me to the doctor."


But it was too late . by the time we got the boat on the trailer and all the fish cleaned ole Junebug had run out of bourbon and then collapsed right there on the ground beside the truck.

That old slickazz preacher said a quick prayer for his soul and took the grass sack full of snakes without payin and left me and Tyrone there to dispose of Junebug and make sure he had a propper internment and what not. So, we dropped him on his Aunties front porch swing with $25.00 in his t-shirt pocket and got on home to fry the fish.

Junebug was a good man and lived a good life. I miss him every now and then when we are coon huntin and we don't have 'ol bella leadin the pack.

But life goes on at Aintry and nobody messes with them snakes much anymore unless you find one in your boat or outhouse.

At least he helped clean the fish..

Why is it every dang snake someones sees 'round water .. it always ends up bein' a CottonMouth ???

Brooks you can tell by the nose of the snake. banded water snakes have a round nose. cottonmouths have a more "square" pig lookin nose.... most people see a banded water snake and immediately say its a cottonmouth but the pic he has if definitely not a banded water snake

Unless its a kingsnake, the only good one is a dead one.

Im not gunna sit around long enough to identify a watersnake.
