You people make too much of a big deal on bait. Live, dead, or artificial, you still have to know what to do with it or where the fish may be.

I just like an even playing field I have never cast a line in LA I'm not doubting my abilities only my knowledge of the area I am taking a day off of work just to come down early & pre-fish. I have been spending an hour each night memorizing trails & downloading waypoints to my GPS etc.

I am far from the best fisherman, But I tell ya what sometimes I swear there aint a fish in the water then BAM he hits... Its all about getting on the fish. I know In Pecan Island, if you aint fishing with a shrimp you might aswell hang it up for the day!

Maxxis in Dularge the only time you need market bait is when your wanting to catch bulls in the deep pases or if you want a quick meat haul.

Amen!!! Those mofo's are like roaches out there. Last year jp sent me a text while I was at the vet with my dog. 2 hours later I sent him pics of reds I was catching on a cane pole while perching.

I'm not 18 anymore, or so the wife say's. Working that many days and that many hours for the river prep. and all the other stuff at home, it caught up with me. The sad part is when the doctor saw a break in the ankle x-ray I couldn't tell him how,when, or where---the MRI should show how bad, its hard to tell on the x-ray with the swelling. I got da skrimp's, who's driving? Go Team "Big Bobba's"

I'm still planning on heading down still lookin' for a tournament partner have no issues fishing it alone though
