First Snapper Trip of the Year
Planning my first one for this Monday. Have a group of 3 guys, 2 of which (myself included) are free divers the other two are just going to stay on the boat. This should be a great trip with seas predicted for 2' or less out 60NM.
Hope to have some great video from the GoPro on the speargun etc keeping my fingers crossed that the weather forecast holds for the next 3 days.

Mr West End sure does enjoy the water and chasing a variety of water creatures. I believe he is part aquatic mammal.

Getting the new cat built is gonna ruin our snapper season for us so I hope u kill a bunch of em! We just came back from diving Cozumel. It was cool but man I miss my oil rigs!

Re: First Snapper Trip of the Year
I picked up 2 tanks from the dive shop by my house, unfortunately they didn't have the float lines & floats so going to have to rig up some poly rope & milk jugs or laundry detergent bottles for my floats if we do a lot of free diving. As its looking now we will just use the tanks to survey what is down there to some bounce dives to check for Grouper etc.

One more day! Just itching last night winds were dead calm hoping they stay low today as predicted looks like a nice high pressure will be sitting over the area. 1' seas

Re: First Snapper Trip of the Year
I remember those guys that used to fish off the rig I worked on loved catchn the snapper. The cuda gave them fits though cause often they would just have a head on their line by the time thet got it reeled in.
