 Re: Go to bass bait
I like either a beetlespin with a shad tailed minnow, green and white, or any mepps spinner that is ultra flashy.
All time best lure I ever had, is discontinued. It was a 4" black worm with medium sized white spots all over, looked like those black and white spotted salamanders you find under logs sometimes. No tail, just a straight bodied worm, I don't know why, but those things slayed. I dunno who made them either.

 Re: Go to bass bait
got favorites in all baits, but here is a few
1. Gambler ugly otter -winter crawfish(creature) 2. Zoom Finese worm- candy bug(worm) 3.Ribbit High Floater- chartruse/Black(top water) 4. Terminator- chart/white(spinner) 5. Bandit - mistake or chart/white (crank) 6.Rapala- chrome and blue (rattle trap)
As for the most fish and always confident Zoom Candy bug

 Re: Go to bass bait
I rig my flukes weedless 4/0 without a weight.
I fish on lakes with bunches of limbs in and just over the water, I can skip that fluke way under the limbs and just let it sink twitchin it sporadically. I fish dirty water and the natural colors always work best.

 Go to bass bait
I started using mine with the 5/0 hooks with the 3/16 weight in the gap of the hook. Let's me cast farther and run my bait faster.

 Re: Go to bass bait
Cast and Blast ~ I'm with you on the fluke !!! The fluke is a very versified type bait .... slow, fast, shallow, deep .... you can even fish it over the grass like a top water. As fo the go to bait ..... I likes to fish 'em all 'cept fo crankin' baits and the spinner baits .... peoples have alot of skill with 'em ... but chunkin' it out there and realin' it in disrupts mines dead stickin' time. BTW ~ BlackBassin' is a fun sport .... I ain't very good at it ... but I absolute love it !!!!
