 Excel 1751 F4 with Mud Buddy 35
Well, finally got to pick up my new excel f4 from kevin lusk at low country mud buddy, any of you carolina fellars looking for a mud buddy, excel or gator trax need to get in tough with him, great guy. Anyways, me and the lady went to a lil lake close to home since we traveled almost 300 miles the previous day. the water was bad choppy from summer boat traffic. after unloading boat, after watching some boat ramp antics haha, we started out across the lake. with the choppy water we were running right between 24-26mph on gps in deep water. later in afternoon after the lake calmed down we really let it loose. in the shallows she bumped 33 a couple of times but average was 31.3. the speeds were nice but the turning was what really pleased me. that sob will straight stick a turn. i am very pleased with it. no action shots but here is a couple of em. o and my motor isnt stock for all you speed haters haha. mb 35 with bps internals with marshmellow exhaust and really wanting a mikuni Excel F4.jpg duck getter.jpg winch and led.jpg

Thank ya fellars! I am very impressed with the rig. Good thing about 2012 models is you have the option of .125 hull in 5086 and this ones got it. Actually ran it today before goin to work. Only bad thing is I cant get my head into the autocad software, keep thinking I should still be on the lake

Re: Excel 1751 F4 with Mud Buddy 35
Great looking Boat! I just picked up my similiar rig late yesterday afternoon from Muddy Bay Marine up in Newberry, SC. Can't wait to put it in the Water this morning! 1751 Excel F4 with Mud Buddy 5500 Black Death in Camo. I will post pics later today. I also have to put in a plug for those guys, especially Tim, over at Muddy Bay Marine. They had one of the largest Excel F4 inventories I have ever seen and some of the best prices I found. What I liked best was that they were very knowledgable, die-hard duck hunters, and had a full-time service & sales department with knowledgable people to help if I ever had a problem. I hope to get mid-30s today in calm water, but will let you know.

I called Tim at muddy bay. And ur right hes a great guy but hes also a full-time salesman. I agree they have the most in stock but when I called him he did what any other salesman does. He starts adding stuff that u don't need. My biggest thing was he never offered me a boat with .125 hull. I knew Excel had the option but it struck me odd that a dealer wouldnt offer it knowing I had a mm

Re: Excel 1751 F4 with Mud Buddy 35
i did check w/ Kevin down at lowcountry before I bought. price was important, so I really shopped around. The problem I faced w/ buying from lowcountry was that Kevin is a part-time dealer & did not have hardly any inventory. He did have a '10 model he was pushing. Nothing hard, but typical salesman stuff trying to sell what he had rather than ordering something else. after i asked, he did offer to order me a boat, but did not really seem too interested in ordering & tried to load-up the boat w/ options i didnt want. he tried hard to push me to a gator trax over the Excel, but i wanted the excel f4. In the end, muddy bay was actually much lower for their 2011 excel f4 w/ the bells and whistles than the 2010 model lowcountry had and were some pretty knowledgable people to deal with. i liked that muddy bay was a true full-time boat dealer w/ inventory & a full-time service department. several of our DU chapter guys have bought excels from them and are pretty happy with their price and service.

You are right that Kevin is part-time and he has to order boats. But I did get my 2012 F4 exactly how I wanted it with the .125 5086 hull but I am sure you got ur dream rig as well and thats all that matters
