 Re: Teal Decoys??
I only use about 18 dekes for teal season at the most, but I do have 2 mojo teal that I use and they are a must. The area that I hunt for teal season most of the time is flooded marsh with bushes and grasses so high that the dekes cannot be seen. That's where the teal want to be and that's the key being where the birds wanna be. The teal just appear through the bushes and are gone in a flash so the mojo gets their attention and it's all over after that.

Water doves don't care what kind of decoys you're using.

 Re: Teal Decoys??
We usually tie a few honkers in the mix, teal seem to like following them around.

I really like the Final Approach Blue Wings.... Also GHG has improved quality some.... But if your looking for long lasting and get your moneys worth the G&H is a no brainer.

 Re: Teal Decoys??
I bought the new pro grade GHG's as soon as they came out, they looked great out of the box but I'm extremely dissapointed in the paint durability.

 Re: Teal Decoys??
i bought the unweighted flambeau from academy the paint does not hold up well though. the best decoys i bought in the last 4 years are carrylite have greenhead gear that i bought at the same time and the paint is faiding on the bills but besides that they are holding up well and are verylifelike.

Decoys in general are a moot point if you're sitting in the right spot

Decoys are half the battle around here, especially Late late into the year.

 Re: Teal Decoys??
I've had the redhead teal dekes for about 3yrs now and they still look good. Two dozen blues and a dozen greens with a few shovelers and two mojos and I'm pulling birds from other people's spread

 Re: Teal Decoys??
GHG Pro grades by far look the best but as far as most durable I would have to say G&H. I keep my GHG ones in a slotted bag so they seem to hold up alot better. Up here though we only use the hens for the most part cause the drakes are ugly yet. You get a few Green wingers that have some color but thats it.

Ive got a teal but think the dove works just as well. They are mainly seeing the flash, not the color of the head. lol
