now that its starting to come to an end thought id post a few pics of this past season. anyone elso crawfish, and how'd ya'll do?

Cool shots! So why are crawfish different colors? Red & then I saw that blue one I've seen a few that color before just curious... Do each of those sacks roughly weigh same amount or you just fill them up, tie 'em off & then sell whole sack for its weight etc?

im not sure why the color we just think its good luck old wise tell. yea they weigh about 38-40 lbs a piece. yes i sell them by weight

I have no practical use for one, but...................Those skiffs are bad ass!! Nice set ups and nice pictures!





What the fork happened to the blue one!

i caught three blues this year i just built that skiff in the last pic its not all the way finished yet, but runs rteal good with that 40

did some digging they become blue because of light spectrum, environment etc... so I guess it depends on their stress level

We hvn't started up here yet, normally run crayfish traps with turtle traps, turtle season opens tomorrow for us (woohoo!)

how much do yall usually catch?

Last year I cought a few blue ones. Every one was caught in the same trap a few days apart from each other. I thought I had a million dollar crawfish at first. Then I found out different.

First time seing purple ones. I saw a bunch that were blue but the ones I had last year were dark purple.
