Post First duck call
Just wondering what was your first duck call you had as a kid or when you learned how to call. My first was an old faulks my paw paw gave me and he quit duck hunting in the early 80s so I know its old as Hell.

Grandpa gave me a old herters Vitglodo metal reeds and all. I still have the cal and the bos he gave it to me in. At fist it sounded like a deer grunt to me but the better I got it really was a decent call for the time. Learned to call on my own and even won a couple competitions out west. The easiest thing i picked up on was the short reed goose. for some reason that call made sense to me.

I learned on a Yentzen. My call that was truly mine was a black plastic single reed RNT. I still have both.
