My new rig! 1748 hd 35 GTR
my last rig got stolen so i thought i would try building my own boat this time around and i think it has came out pretty good for my first time build one let alone weld aluminum. its a 1748 3/16 round chine.....well its sorta round, it has 3 breaks in it to make it round with a 19" huntdeck included. wanted to give reverse a try so i ended up with a 35 gtr. headed to setx performance next weekend to let cody work a little magic on the motor. going with all bps internals, heads, single carb and a crossover. still have a little more work to do to finish it up. have to trim out the top side of the false transom and some other odds and ends and build an extended deck hatch to cover up the gas tank, on-board charger and battery.

Re: My new rig! 1748 hd 35 GTR
Good job on the rig. I like the way you ran the wires through the hunt deck and kept it clean. Much better than running everythign over the back of the boat onto the hunt deck. What is the round pool skimmer looking cover for? I'm guessing to get to your gas tank when you mount it. Only thing I would suggest is 1 more weld in the middle edge of the front hunt deck and also finish off the ends of the gunnels. Again nice job like the spud pole too.

Lookin damn good, RJ. Only thing I noticed was the front of the gunwhale rail. You're gonna cap that, huh? Seems like it would end up catching & holding all kinds of chit if you don't. For the 1st time doin aluminum work, you're doin a helluva bang up job. Big thumbs up to ya.

Dang man, that's talent. Real nice looking rig, It has a gater trax sorta look, with the rake and front end being the way it is. I love that, always liked the way the gator traxs look. Looks great, you did a awsome job on it.

I'm guessing that you have a short transom model GTR. It looks awesome by the way.

Re: My new rig! 1748 hd 35 GTR
How tall are the sides/transom of the boat? How much did you cut the boat transom so the motor/handle wouldn't hit?

Very nice! I particularly like the way you did the winch on the front...I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like from the inside of the boat. I'm curious about ease of access, etc...
Again...awesome build.
