23 Vanguard not cranking right!

 23 Vanguard not cranking right! I'm having problems with my motor cranking. When it turns over its as if it gets hung and wont continue to turn. I can pull my the pull starter and let the prop turn over one time and then turn the key and it will fire right up. Any help?
