That's right, 6 yrs in that big ass litter box, wearing 80-100 lbs of gear, not knowing if the next breath would be his last, seeing shit Quentin Terrantino couldn't even dream up for a horror flick. Hell, I, for one, am proud to help pay that man's tuition.

Reaction to Snakes
• Civilian: Runs away from the snake screaming.
• Army Paratrooper: Lands on and kills the snake.
• Armor: runs over snake, giggles, and looks for more snakes.
• Marine: "Look, a putty cat. Come 'ere kitty....Ouch! Hey, that's not a putty tat."
• Army Aviation: Has GPS grid to snake. Can't find snake. Back to base for crew rest and the club and some sort of drink called "The Snake."
• Army Ranger: Plays with the snake, then eats it.
• 2nd Army Ranger: Assaults the snake's home and secures it for use by friendly snakes.
• MI: analyzes all available intelligence and national asset input on the reptilian situation; reports sighting of Godzilla to National Command Authority.
• JAG: Advises the snake on the rules of engagement and the law of war as it pertains to the snake and its defensive posture.
• Quartermaster: Captures snake and applies a National Stock Number (NSN) to it. Implements a Found On Installation (FOI) procedure and picks up snake on property book. Has company commander sign hand receipt for "Snake, Green, One Each," as non-expendable unit property.
• Chemical Corps: Starts to gas the little booger, but then realizes that there is an M-18, A-2 Respirator especially made for snakes, remembers the Chemical Corps Motto, "UTRWBAG" (Up Their Rear With Bugs and Gas), and conducts three experiments on it that have been strictly prohibited by the Clinton Treaty of 1999.
• Navy SEAL: Expends all ammunition, several grenades and calls for naval gunfire in a failed attempt to kill the snake. The snake bites the SEAL then retreats to safety.
• Artillery: Kills snake, but in the process kills several hundred civilians with a massive TOT with three FA BDEs in support. Mission is considered a success and all participants (cooks, mechanics, clerks) are awarded Silver Stars.
• Marine Recon: Follows the snake and gets lost.
• Army Pathfinder: Guides the snake elsewhere.
• AF Fighter Pilot: Mis-identifies the snake as a Russian HIND helicopter and engages it with missiles. Crew chief paints a snake on airplane.
• AF Pararescue: Wounds the snake in first encounter, then feverishly works to save the snake's life.
• Green Beret: Makes contact with the snake, builds rapport, wins its heart and mind, then trains it to kill other snakes.

devildog nobody posted on here about your military service. i think the responders were responding to u and another about how to get your toys. it was posting about what we think your priorties should be nothing more. read your second post ?. and rob if your one response to seeing things in war was aimed at me i spent three tours in the land of the pajama man. and wrote 37 letters back home to the loved ones that i hold myself responsible for losing. not a FUCKING day goes by that i don't think about that. he came home a hero i came home a villian.

I don't get my toys from my parents. I don't live with them and will not ever move back in with them. I was just stating to Cope that if I did move back in with my parents that I would save enough from what I currently pay in rent to buy the PD that I want.

Agreed.

Mr Nagon, I also have family that have fought, been wounded, been captured, and some killed. I am thankful for ALL of the men & women who have sacrificed for this country (even JC  ) & if you think I was disrespecting you by my comment, I sincerely apologize. I meant no disrespect to you, nor any other serviceman, I was trying to do just the opposite for one. I hate the fact that because of the hippie movement in the late 60's-early 70's you were branded as a villain, especially since many of the men we lost over there weren't there by choice.
My uncle was over in Nam & came home scarred from 2 gunshot wounds & a knife wound, not to mention the mental scars that only he can see.
A friend of the family was a paratrooper & during a night drop, the pilot screwed up & he was dropped directly into a POW camp, where he lived for several years. We witnessed his mental anguish back in the early 90's when my dad showed him the SKS he'd recently bought. That grown man turned to a lil baby right before our eyes, as that was the 1st time he'd ever touched one, aside from the many beatings he took from them during his stay.
My grandfather was in the Navy during WWII and had 2 different ships blown out from under him. During one of those times, he had his brother die in his arms from his wounds.
My great uncle also died in battle. He through himself on top of a live grenade to save his platoon.
This is not to mention the several friends I have the also played in the litter box & came home with one problem or an other.

So, with all that said, yes I do tend to get a lil upset when I feel that one of our guys is not getting the respect they deserve. Mr Nagon, on behalf of the members of MMT, and all of America, thank you for your service as well.

no it is i that owe a apology. devil dog take all the help in life that u can get. if its free or in the help of a loan. set your goals in life high and work hard at getting them. just remember were the help came from. rob sorry i snapped u seem to be one of the guys here that keeps this site in check. it sounds like your family has paid the price for our freedoms. migrator tell your uncle from me that many of us would have never made it home if not for gutsy people like him he had one h--l of a job. tell him thanks for his service thank him on vets day also maybe take him for breakfast some year on vets day. you would not believe how much that means to any vet. i think that the thing that hurt me more was the walk thru the airport and being spit on and seeing dolls hanging from a rope with baby killer on them was the worst thing for me and my platoon when we got off the troop plane. we were just doing our job ?

Man just do what you got to do and before you know it you will have it. Every toy i have i have bought and paid for out of my pocket. It means more to me that i did that than my mommy and daddy paying for everything. Also you will have a better outlook on how you treat your stuff . Im a broke college student so i know how it is.

RN, I have on many occasions stopped servicemen to thank them for their service. Was eating lunch in an east TX town last year and 3 men in their mid-late 50's had met for lunch. Overheard very little but enuf. 1st lived in TX, 2nd n NC and 3 n FL. They were n the same unit and hadn't seen each other in almost 40 yrs. I paid as I saw them getting ready to leave and met them outside. Shook all hands and got their story and told them how much I appreciated them. Got a shocked look when I first approched them but quickly they were like young guys sharing a story. I hope I made them feel as good as it did me. I think a lot of the baby killer BS that took place back then from hippies is the same kind of hype folks get caught up in on these forums in a much larger scale. A little free love and pounds and pounds of weed and folks will believe all kinds of shit, whether right or wrong!
