Nice job Shaf! How did you catch them? Bait? Location? Our flatheads have been running kinda slow here. I had about 3oo pounds in one net two weeks ago but only catching one or two in each net daily. Our river has dropped so much that the current is real slow. However with the recent rains the river is jumping up four feet. That is what I need. I'm prepping a bunch of trot lines right now for some live bait action. So far my best is a 75 pound bluecat. Ive caught several 35/40 pound flatheads recently. Still slow for this time of year.

believe it or not i caught these on rod and reel. We throw a cast net and catch perch about the size of your hand and hook em behind the eyes with a 2 oz. weight about two feet above the hook. then we sit around and drink beer till one takes it.

we are fishing in a lake that has a creek running under a bridge...water depth is about 5 foot but drops to about 12' in the creek. we just cast out into the creek and wait. they run that creek nearly every night around 10 to midnight.

setting out lines this tonight on the sulphur river...its about 10' high right now. ;)

I ran my nets today and had some nice flatheads and a couple whopper blue cats. My pard and I have figured that the flatheads are nesting and not moving much. OUr flathead catch is way down but the river is bumping up a few feet which should turn them cats on.
Good luck on them lines. I have to work all weekend.
