Had some pretty good ones in the past, buy don't have a clue how to make them. I know the first step is to start with Blue Runner. What's next?

Onions, celery, and bell pepper. Chop and sautee.
Pickle meat. Boil and chop into bite size pieces. Save the water for now.
Chop smoked sausage into bite size pieces. Sautee with the onions etc.
Place Blue Runner beans in crock pot.
Add in sauteed seasoning, sausage and pickled meat. Season to taste with Tony's, or your seasoning of choice.
Allow to cook in crock pot for 3-4 hours. If you like thinner beans, add in some of the water that you boiled the pickled in to thin the beans out.

This is how I have cooked my beans for years. Same goes for Blue Runner red beans.

What do you mean by pickle meat?

Never heard of pickled meat, But I use smoked sausage and Tasso in my beans.

Crews soak fresh beans over night!!
Poor out water and put freshwater boil for a Lil while change water!! Boil again till just before beans start to break up change water !! After the water change put season, salt meat, onions and what other season you want cook slow till they fall apart and are creamy ass you want them!! Add some chopped green onion and eat

The key word here is WHITE beans!!

go the cheater route. crockpot and zatarans white bean seasoning mix

First you buy a spiral cut honey baked ham and eat it mostly to the bone. Take whats left and cook the bone left over ham and spices just like you would red beans. That honey baked makes some mean white beans.

Or just get a can of bush's baked beans and doctor em up good.
