The latest on billet Mikuni brackets
The braces have been redesigned out of 1/4" 6061-T-6, the old ones were 3/16" 5052. I did this because there were two of them that developed a crack near one of the carb bolt holes. Not sure if this was just a fluke, but i dont want it to continue to happen. Im going to work this on the honor system, so if anyone has a problem with the previous design cracking, let me know and you will be shipped a new one no charge. I trust that no one will take advantaqge of this, being that i wont make you ship the old one back. The new ones will also have the ss carb body bolts and the 12 point 5/16" intake bolts.
On another note, as hard as ive tried to work with BPS on their 'approval', they are giving me unrealistic expectations to meet, basically leaving me with no other option but to let them manufacture them for me. That aint happenin. As of now, the braces are not 'BPS approved', but Im past the point of giving a damn. If people want these, they gonna buy them regardless. So when BPS comes out with their own, that will look exactly like mine, but made out of thin stainless, please guys keep in mind who worked so hard to design these. I truly appreciate all the guys who have purchased these so far, and keep your eye out for the thread that will read 'Pd reverse pin pullers!', they are gonna be bad to the bone and affordable!
yall feel free to pm me with questions, or call me anytime at 225-571-2836
thanks, Rod

I'm sure everyone here will back you bro! If those douche bags do that (which will not surprise me the least considering everything else they have copied) everyone here will be made aware of it along with who initially designed and marketed the item.

Re: The latest on billet Mikuni brackets
The modded mm crowd is pretty small, most all will know you made this.
There are quite a few that will buy from BPS over anyone else regardless of who's idea it was.

Re: The latest on billet Mikuni brackets
Auto I watched the conversation unfold on the other forum. What a total bunch of BS from the guys at BPS. They should de ashamed of themselves. Between this and the quality issues seen from them recently they are last on my list of ones I'd do business with. Also if you had an issue with some cracking on 3/16 how long will a thinner material last. I do see the point of excessive vibration causing overflow but you brackets have proven to not have that issue.
Keep up the good work brother.

Re: The latest on billet Mikuni brackets
thanks alot Russel! the biggest thing that alot of people dont understand is that my bracket bolts ON TOP of your rubber intake manifold. There is no metal to metal contact between the brace and intake. so therefore it has no effect on vibration at all. it is simply designed to keep the carb from coming off.

Will the pin puller work on my 13hp lt?
How much more speed can I expect to see?

Re: The latest on billet Mikuni brackets
As far as I know I think I may have been one of the first to buy and install rods carb bracket back in February if I remember correctly. Other than having to use one bolt longer than the others on my Prodrive I did not have any installation issues. I have put alot of hours on the motor since then and I have no issues. I was giving my motor a general inspection the other day and the bracket is still tight and rock solid. It does take impacts from stumps and whatever is under the surface. For sure I remember taking two good hits and all was well. I'll give mine a good inspection for cracks when I get home but I don't expect to see any. Perhaps the ones that broke were overtightened.
I truly look forward to see the pd pin pillars in production and up for sale.
Sorry to hear about the bps flack
